This is a tough question I hear all the time. I wish there was an easy answer!
The fact is, the pizza I order really depends on what kind of pizza I’m craving.
For greasy, Greek style pizza, you can’t beat:
Hope Street Pizza on Hope Street in Providence. Saki, Lena, and their crew make even a plain cheese pizza amazing, plus it’s always to great time at the bar!
For thin, grilled pizza, my go-to is:
Pizza J on Westminster Street in Providence. The “Bold & Beautiful” is awesome – basically it’s a West End hipster name for a pepperoni pizza. My friend, Mike Tanaka, turned me on to “The Strutter“which is pizza topped with sausage, peppers and onions.
Speaking of sausage pizza…if you want something somewhere between Greek and grilled…I really dig the medium sausage at Nino’s Pizza & Restaurant Try it well done and you won’t be disappointed!
