We caught up with LITE 105 & 92 PRO-FM at Roger Williams Park & Zoo in celebration of Earth Day!
While on-site for station appearances at the Zoo, Lite 105’s Marketing/Promotions Director, Mike Romano, and 92 PRO-FM’s Barbi Jo got to experience the wildly fun giraffe encounter!
The adventure started with Cora and Sukari. Cora, RWP Zoo’s youngest giraffe out of 3, was born in July of 2016 and weighs in at roughly 2,500lbs!
Cora was a hungry girl!
Sukari is RWP Zoo’s eldest giraffe, born in February of 1993! She was a little more bashful and wasn’t as hungry as Cora, who ended up eating the entire bowl of greens!

The adventure ended with Jaffa, RWP Zoo’s only male giraffe. Born in July of 2010, Jaffa weighs in at roughly 3,000lbs! While they were treated to some leafy greens and carrots, their typical daily diet consists of leaves of acacia tree, dandelion greens, alfalfa hay, and herbivore pellets.
